Escuela Graduates Gather for a Day of Prayer

On Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, the OIS Hispanic Ministry hosted “Reconnecting with Ignatius,” a day-long program for graduates of the School of Igantian Spirituality (the “Escuela”), which was previously offered at the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, New Jersey. Ten of the graduates form this Escuela cohort participated in this event on Sunday at the Loyola Jesuit Center.

The program focused on praying with the senses. Participants also spent time sharing about how their experience in the Escuela has influenced their work since. One participant, for example, runs a Charismatic group that meets weekly with more than 200 hundred people, and has formed twelve small charismatics groups over the last two years. He has been teaching them forms of Ignatian prayer, including extended times of silence in prayer.

This Sunday’s program concluded with Mass, offered by Fr. Kirk Reynolds, S.J.
