Lent 2022: Resources for Your Journey

The season of Lent invites us to spend some time with Jesus, sharing our challenges with him and asking for forgiveness, as we prepare for Easter. Jesus is with us during these weeks. Here are some resources to help you connect with him more deeply on his journey through the desert.

Lenten Audio Reflections

All are invited to pray and reflect with our Ignatian Young Adult Ministries community during Lent.

Stream or download our audio reflections for Ash Wednesday and the Sunday readings each week. These 5-7 minutes reflections inspired by Ignatian spirituality are written by our Ignatian Young Adult Ministries leadership team.

Sign up to receive them in your inbox. Or, follow our podcast feeds which will be updated weekly on Apple, Spotify, Google, or Soundcloud.

Young adults (20’s and 30’s) are also invited to participate in a weekly small group.

Also, the Chilean Jesuit and musician Fr. Cristóbal Fones is offering a live prayer service in Spanish on Ash Wednesday at 6:00 PM Eastern. Click here to watch the live stream or to view the recording after the event.

Novena of Grace in Honor of St. Francis Xavier, March 4-12

Pray the Novena of Grace in Honor of St. Francis Xavier from March 4-12.

“It is traditional to pray the Novena for a particular intention; to ask for what you desire from God. Pray for your own needs, those of your loved ones, or the needs of the world.”

This version of the Novena was created by Sacred Space, a ministry of the Irish Jesuits.

Harden Not Your Hearts: A Lenten Journey in Holy Frustration (Ignatian Solidarity Network)

The Ignatian Solidarity Network is offering daily reflections for Lent written by members of the Ignatian network.

“Harden not your hearts, we will be told on Ash Wednesday, as Lent begins. And how difficult it is. In addition to the injustices that have deepened during this ongoing pandemic, we are trying to live through the day to day. So many of us feel numb, our hearts hardened simply as a means of survival. Some of us are exhausted, some angry, some worn down…we are all deeply frustrated in some way with the reality of the world. But what if we can transform our frustration into holy frustration?”

Some of these reflections will also be available in Spanish. Click here to sign up for Cuaresma 2022 en Español.
