Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality, Fairfield University
The Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality is a ministry of Fairfield University, a Jesuit school located in Fairfield, Connecticut.
“The Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality of Fairfield University (MCIS) welcomes those seeking to deepen their relationship with God and so to enrich their daily lives.
We offer spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition to guide individuals in their journey toward this encounter, as Ignatius did, by ‘finding God in all things.’ We are committed to supporting the faith-life of students, faculty and staff of Fairfield University as well as individuals from the larger community outside the University.
The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola undergird all that we do. In the spirit of St. Ignatius, we commit to caring for souls through encounter, relationship and discernment. MCIS is further dedicated to the formation of hearts and minds through the practice of spiritual direction. Our vision is rooted in a faith that promotes social justice, dialogues with other religious traditions and holds a profound respect for the dignity and diversity of the human community.”
