Ignatian Spiritual Exercises of Worcester

About This Retreat:

  • Type: Retreat in Daily Life (sometimes referred to as the 19th Annotation)

  • Format: The Worcester Ignatian program is held in a 30 week long Retreat in Daily Life format. It is offered by a team composed of laypersons and Jesuit priests, all trained in the Exercises and as prayer companions. Each retreatant is accompanied through the retreat by one of the team. Retreatants are expected to attend individual, weekly meetings with their prayer companion for one-on-one discussion of their experiences.

    The program includes a weekly group meeting where individuals may share briefly about their prayer experiences of of the previous week and listen to a presentation about the next week's exercises.

  • Dates: The retreat begins in late September 2024 and runs through May 2025.

  • Times: Weekly sessions are held on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

  • Location: St. Peter's Church, Lower Church Hall (entrance on Grand Street 931 Main Street Worcester, MA).
