“Spiritual Direction as an Ecclesial Ministry” Parts I, II and III

Part I of “Spiritual Direction as an Ecclesial Ministry,” was held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 and Fr. Brian McDermott discusses the unique role that the ministry of spiritual direction has in the church’s mission in the world.

This three-part workshop series for spiritual directors explored the ecclesial nature of Ignatian spiritual direction. We investigated how this ministry relates to the fundamental dimensions of Church and how it serves the ongoing life of the Church. Discussion of case studies helped us to stay grounded in the actual exercise of this ministry.

Here is the workshop schedule:
"Part I, Church: Institution and Charism" – Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, 10am-12pm ET
"Part II, Ignatian Spiritual Direction in the Life of the Church" – Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, 10am-12pm ET
"Part III, Case Studies" – Saturday, March 11, 2022, 10am-12pm ET
